Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Geneva Panthers walked away with it. They blew past the Red Tops 71-9 at home on Friday. Geneva has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.
Geneva got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rayanna Ausley out in front who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals. Ausley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cheyenne Hammock, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
The victory was the third in a row for Geneva, bringing their record for this year to 18-7. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.7 points. As for Slocomb, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.
Geneva does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Slocomb also has no future games currently scheduled.
