The Roseburg Indians''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against South Medford, falling 35-0. Roseburg lost against South Medford in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 37-0 score last time.
Bridger Foss went supernova for South Medford, rushing for 176 yards and three touchdowns. Jacob Dalton got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Roseburg's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.5 points per game. As for South Medford, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roseburg will take on Grants Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Grants Pass focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up four on Friday. As for South Medford, they will head out on the road to face off against North Medford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (North Medford is ranked 12th, while South Medford is ranked 21st).
