Caleb Thompson turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Wednesday. He produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.

Thompson's strong effort led Duchesne over North Sevier and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Duchesne is 9-1 against North Sevier going back to March of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
