Wolfe City has won five straight games at home, while Bland has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. Wolfe City will welcome Bland at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Last Friday, Wolfe City got the win against North Hopkins by a conclusive 16-6. Considering the Wolves have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

| 02/25/25 vs Cumby | 3 |
| 02/13/25 @ Commerce | 3 |
| 03/21/25 @ Cooper | 2 |
| 03/11/25 vs Sulphur Bluff | 2 |
Brooklynn Uzialko was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Walker, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Wolfe City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .324 or higher in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, while Bland put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Sulphur Bluff. Bland blew past Sulphur Bluff 16-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Brookelynn Boren-Floyd made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Boren-Floyd was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Bland let Zoe Wilson and Kamryn Wade run wild. Wilson went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Wade scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of KK Lopez, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Wolfe City is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. Bland's win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wolfe City has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .511. However, it's not like Bland struggles in that department as they've averaged .532. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wolfe City suffered a grim 16-4 defeat to Bland when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Wolfe City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
