The Rose Hill Christian Royals will head out on the road to face off against the Covenant Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Thursday, Rose Hill Christian came up short against Bloomingdale and fell 50-42. While losing is never fun, Rose Hill Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 275th in Kentucky, while Bloomingdale is ranked 84th in West Virginia).
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Covenant's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They took a hard 70-55 fall against Grace Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
This is the second loss in a row for Rose Hill Christian and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Covenant, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Rose Hill Christian suffered a grim 72-52 defeat to Covenant in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Rose Hill Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
