Perkins has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Clyde Fliers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Perkins didn't have too much trouble with New London at home as they won 57-43.
Meanwhile, Clyde's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They came out on top against Huron by a score of 57-50.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clyde to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenzlie Guhn, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Guhn pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Daniel, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Perkins' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Clyde, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Perkins beat Clyde 51-41 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Perkins repeat their success, or does Clyde have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
