Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Blanco Panthers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 55-13 defeat at the hands of the Cowboys on Friday. Blanco's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Blanco lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nic Fox. Despite the final result, he rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Fox is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played.
Blanco's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Edna, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-1 record this season.
Blanco does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Edna will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
