Norte Vista's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hugo Morales, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 22 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Ramirez, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Norte Vista has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Patriot, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-16.
Norte Vista won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Calvary Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Calvary Baptist is on a ten-game streak of home wins, Norte Vista a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Patriot will take on Arlington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Arlington's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
