North Point (Waldorf, Md.) successfully executed one of the most impressive-looking trick plays in the book in a recent game against La Plata (Md.).
Quarterback
Brandon Battle threw a pass to the left flank (behind the line of scrimmage) that cleanly bounced to
Cole Poncheri. The defense froze momentarily at the sight of what appeared to be an incomplete pass.
However, Poncheri caught the live football and found a wide-open
Geordan Clark for a 42-yard touchdown pass.
The play took a page out of the Westminster Academy playbook, as the Florida school
nailed the same play two years ago.
