The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Cole Potridge was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nick Horvath, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Woodmore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Port Clinton only managed six hits.
Woodmore is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games.
