Napoleon has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Clay Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Napoleon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Monday.
Napoleon scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They enjoyed a cozy 50-32 win over Clay. Napoleon pushed the score to 44-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Clay cut but never quite recovered from.
Napoleon can attribute much of their success to Chloe Cicero, who scored 15 points along with five steals, and Makayla Kruse, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Ella Tassler was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Napoleon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. As for Clay, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
Napoleon strolled past Clay when the teams last played on Monday by a score of 50-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Napoleon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
