It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the South Fremont Cougars can now relate to. They fell 50-37 to the Beavers on Saturday. South Fremont was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as American Falls apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, South Fremont still got an impressive performance from Brianne Bailey, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. That was a full 56.8% of South Fremont's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brookie Bair was another key contributor, scoring five points.
South Fremont has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season. As for American Falls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.
South Fremont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. American Falls also has no future games currently scheduled.
