Washington Christian Academy was expected to have a tough go of it on Tuesday, and that's exactly how things played out. They suffered a grim 70-41 defeat to the Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Washington of the 78-28 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head last month.
Washington's loss pushed them down to 0-9. The win bumped Sandy Spring's record up to 17-7.
Washington will be hunkering down at home again for their game against Barrie on Wednesday. Barrie is looking for a pick-me-up after a 78-52 blowout loss to Hebrew Academy. Sandy Spring is staying on the road today to face off against Spencerville Adventist Academy. The Wildebeests won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
