After flying high against the Morrisville Bulldogs last Monday, the Renaissance Academy Knights came back down to earth. The contest between Renaissance Academy and the Pioneers wasn't particularly close, with the Knights falling 48-30. While losing is never fun, Renaissance Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 621st, while the Pioneers are ranked 139th).
Despite the loss, Renaissance Academy still got an impressive performance from DJ Savior, who scored 14 points.
Renaissance Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Dock Mennonite, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Renaissance Academy and the Jaguars will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lehigh Valley Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Dock Mennonite, they will head out on the road to challenge the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valley Forge Military Academy is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
