Baseball Recap: Trinity Has No Trouble Against Albert Gallatin

Trinity had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Albert Gallatin on Thursday. The Hillers blew past the Colonials 8-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hillers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Karson Hathaway made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Trinity's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 2-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Hathaway was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Zachary Schrader looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Trinity is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise.

Back at the plate, Jonah Williamson was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Ian Migyanko was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The win got Trinity back to even at 5-5. As for Albert Gallatin, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1.

Coming up, Trinity is taking a road trip to square off against South Fayette at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Hillers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Albert Gallatin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elizabeth Forward at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Colonials' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
