They took down the Bulloch Academy Gators 35-20. This was payback for Frederica Academy, who suffered a 14-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.
A big part of Frederica Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between Stanton Beverly and his top target Braxton Sykes. Beverly rushed for 90 yards and one TD while Sykes picked up 86 receiving yards and one touchdown. Sykes really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 90 yards.
Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Hubbard, who threw for 115 yards and one TD on only eight passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Bulloch Academy also got a significant boost from Danye Garvin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.
Frederica Academy's record is now 5-3. As for Bulloch Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.
