Softball Recap: Colorado Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Colorado won the last time they faced Miles and things went their way on Friday too. Colorado was the clear victor by an 18-3 margin over Miles. Considering the Wolves have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bryanna Munoz was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Wooddell, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Munoz wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Colorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive matchups.

Colorado is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. Miles' loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15-1.

Coming up, Colorado and Clyde will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clyde will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Colorado surely won't give up without a fight. As for Miles, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sonora at 5:30 p.m. on April 8.
