Ignite Athletics was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Varsity Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Ignite Athletics still got an impressive performance from Trevor Bailey, who scored 13 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bailey has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Isaac Hanks, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Ignite Athletics bumped their record down to 1-14 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home. As for Varsity Opponent, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 275-1057-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ignite Athletics will face off against Bloomingdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Varsity Opponent won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Mary's Ryken at 12:00 p.m. on January 21st.
