This season hasn't been kind to the Master's Hand Christian Warriors, who are still winless after their sixth game. They took a serious blow against Rocket City on Monday, falling 69-19. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Master's Hand Christian of the 68-21 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Rocket City had a senior duo take command as MacKenzie Baker scored 26 points along with four steals and Elizabeth ( Bess ) Shea dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Shea has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Rose Carter was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Master's Hand Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rocket City, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Master's Hand Christian will take on Marshall Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rocket City, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Evangel Christian at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Evangel Christian is ranked 170th, while Rocket City is ranked 157th).
