Volleyball Recap: Durham School of the Arts Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Durham School of the Arts entered their tilt with Southern School of Energy and Sustainability on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Spartans 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Wednesday.

Durham School of the Arts not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Southern School of Energy and Sustainability between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 25-16.

Lucy Moffet paced Durham School of the Arts' offense, picking up 12 kills. Moffet got some help from Tessa Nayo and her 20 assists. Nayo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Durham School of the Arts picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Durham School of the Arts will head out to square off against Northwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, they will welcome Northern Durham at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
