The Lake Quinault Elks suffered their biggest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 65-35 loss at the hands of Taholah. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Lake Quinault has suffered against Taholah since May 22, 2021.
It was another big night for Jayden Lewis, who scored 37 points for Taholah. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lewis has scored all season. Eric Adams was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Lake Quinault's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Taholah, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Quinault and Mary M. Knight will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mary M. Knight is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Taholah, they will head out on the road to take on Tulalip Heritage at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tulalip Heritage is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
