The Williams Yellowjackets have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They snuck past Hamilton with a 55-49 victory on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Williams, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Williams found their leader in underclassman Diego Ambriz, who scored 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ambriz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kyden Bowen, who scored 13 points.
Williams' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Hamilton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williams will take on CORE Butte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hamilton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Los Molinos at 8:00 p.m. Hopefully Los Molinos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
