The Blair Blazers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Blake, falling 34-7. Blair was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Blake apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zandrew Kamara, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Preston Mbony was another key contributor, rushing for 69 yards and a touchdown.
Blair's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 Quince Orchard and 5-4 Bethesda-Chevy Chase (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75% over those games). As for Blake, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Blair will head out on the road to face off against Laurel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Blake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
