Havre de Grace and Rising Sun are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Havre de Grace Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Rising Sun Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Havre de Grace has not done well against Harford Tech recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Havre de Grace walked away with a 41-33 victory over Harford Tech. The win was just what Havre de Grace needed coming off of a 53-22 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Rising Sun can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match last Thursday. They blew past Harford Tech, posting a 62-16 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Rising Sun has posted since December 7, 2023.
Havre de Grace's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. As for Rising Sun, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.
Things could have been worse for Havre de Grace, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-36 loss to Rising Sun when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Havre de Grace avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
