After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chelsea, Pinckney was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Jackson Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Pinckney moved to 13-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Pinckney will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair will be back at it again later today.
