Baseball Recap: Shadow Ridge Drops Highest Score of Season Against Centennial

Shadow Ridge took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Centennial, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Shadow Ridge sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 victory over Centennial on Wednesday. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Marco Montesanti was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and one double. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Samuel Stahl also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Montesanti wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Shadow Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Shadow Ridge's record is now 4-9. As for Centennial, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.

Coming up, Shadow Ridge will host Legacy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Centennial, they will venture away from home to face off against The Meadows School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
