For Calvin Christian, this counts as revenge for the 41-26 loss San Jacinto Valley Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2016.
Calvin Christian found their leader in underclassman Caleb Lapka, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lapka has scored at least a third of Calvin Christian's points. Aiden Oh was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five steals.
Calvin Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Calvin Christian will play host again and welcome St. Joseph Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Joseph Academy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they will take on Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
