The Everett Crimson Tide will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Northampton Blue Devils at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Everett has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Everett scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They secured a 65-61 W over Lynn English. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Northampton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 54-48 to Pope Francis Prep. While losing is never fun, Northampton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Pope Francis Prep is ranked first).
Everett's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Northampton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
