The Oglethorpe County Patriots fell victim to the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 49-0 loss at the hands of the Wolverines. While losing is never fun, Oglethorpe County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 334th, while Prince Avenue Christian is ranked 31st).
Aaron Philo was a one-man wrecking crew for Prince Avenue Christian as he threw for 388 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Hill, who picked up 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The win makes it two in a row for Oglethorpe County and bumps their season record up to 3-5. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 53 points. As for Prince Avenue Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Oglethorpe County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Prince Avenue Christian is also done with their season.
