Mandeville is 1-9 against Ponchatoula since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mandeville Skippers will head out on the road to take on the Ponchatoula Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. Mandeville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Ponchatoula is ranked ninth).
Mandeville suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 69-44 walloping at the hands of Slidell. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Mandeville has suffered against Slidell since January 11, 2019.
Meanwhile, Ponchatoula didn't have too much trouble with Northshore on the road on Tuesday as they won 58-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ponchatoula.
Mandeville's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Ponchatoula, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.
Mandeville suffered a grim 56-33 defeat to Ponchatoula when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Mandeville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
