Ashley Yang made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, West Davidson got the win against Lexington on Friday by a conclusive 19-1.
Like Salisbury, West Davidson also got a great game from a two-way player: Mahala Darnell. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Darnell was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Salisbury has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like West Davidson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Salisbury might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from West Davidson when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Salisbury avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
