There's no place like home for the Highland Tech Rams, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Sugar Creek 55-16 at home. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for Highland Tech this season.
Addie McCraw was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. Reese Thomas was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 19 rebounds and four steals.
Despite the defeat, Sugar Creek saw an underclassman step up: Eriyana Anthony scored 13 points. Anthony is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight.
Highland Tech's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Sugar Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
Highland Tech will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Gaston is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Sugar Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Piedmont Community Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Tuesday.
