In what's become a running theme this season, the Mountain View Thunder gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Prairie with a sharp 62-38 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Mountain View has posted since December 18, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nina Peterson, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Peterson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Senderson, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Mountain View and bumps their season record up to 14-3. As for Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Mountain View will head out on the road to face off against Kelso at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prairie, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Battle Ground at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Battle Ground is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
