Salem got themselves on the board against Pulaski County on Tuesday, but Pulaski County never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering the Spartans have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Salem has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Pulaski County, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, Salem and Pulaski County will both be playing Patrick Henry the next time they take the field. The Cougars will host the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Spartans will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
