The Rancho Rams's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 53-41 win over Green Valley. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rancho also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Rancho was led to victory by Taylor Dagons and Claudia Vargas-Arellano. Dagons scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Vargas-Arellano scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That's the first time this season that Dagons pulled down eight or more rebounds. Crystal Padilla was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Rancho has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Green Valley, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 5-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancho will take on Silverado at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silverado will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Green Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cimarron-Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cimarron-Memorial is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
