The Garfield Heights Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the South Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Garfield Heights will be strutting in after a win while South will be coming in after a defeat.
On Saturday, Garfield Heights escaped with a win against Bedford by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44.
Garfield Heights got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Stacia Mobley out in front who scored ten points. Dream Lowe was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, South's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kenston.
Garfield Heights' win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for South, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Garfield Heights came out on top in a nail-biter against South when the teams last played back in December of 2018, sneaking past 50-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Garfield Heights since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
