It was a good run, but the Elm Creek Buffaloes unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 52-35 fall against Ansley/Litchfield. Elm Creek has not had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Elm Creek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Quin Oberg, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Nikk Brumels, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Elm Creek's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Ansley/Litchfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Elm Creek won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Broncos at 4:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Amherst is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Ansley/Litchfield, they will face off against the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
