Gregory Williams Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Homer's Gregory Williams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Williams' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 171 rushing yards.
Homer's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. Williams and Homer will welcome Magnolia School of Excellence on Friday.

Union Parish was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Tyquereis Wilson did his best to prevent it. Calvary Baptist Academy had no answer to Wilson as he made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss). Wilson also rushed for 158 rushing yards, which is notable because Union Parish is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.
The defeat snapped Union Parish's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record. Wilson and Union Parish are taking a road trip to challenge D'Arbonne Woods on Friday.

Antonio Nelson Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Antonio Nelson posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead North Caddo over D'Arbonne Woods on Thursday. Nelson picked up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 40 yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 84 yards.
North Caddo is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. They and Green Oaks are set to meet in a battle of mythical proportions on Friday.

Luke Miller Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Calvary Baptist Academy got the W thanks in part to Luke Miller playing the best football he has all season. Miller made 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
This season, Miller has averaged 9.9 total tackles per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 3.29 total tackles per game.
