Bishop Kelly is 7-1 against Nampa since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Bishop Kelly is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Bishop Kelly will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Emmett on Wednesday. The Knights never let the Huskies get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won five in a row.
Zach Wright was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Colin Brazil was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Luca Quilici was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Bishop Kelly was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Nampa's offense. They came up short against Skyview on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.
Nampa also got a good showing from Kaiden McMullen, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest earned runs McMullen has allowed since back in March.
Bishop Kelly's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Nampa, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Bishop Kelly's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's matchup. The Knights have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Nampa, though, as they've been averaging only 1.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Bishop Kelly continue to outrun the ball?
Bishop Kelly took their win against Nampa in their previous meeting back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 8-0 score. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
