Lexington took the match and then some with a 44-8 win over Richmond on Friday. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Lexington, who can brag about four blowout wins.
The matchup started off well for Lexington, whose offense put up 30 first-half points. Meanwhile, Richmond couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 30-0 heading into the break. The Lexington defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest.
The victory was the 4th in a row for Lexington raised their record to 8-1. Richmond are still winless on the season and fell to 0-9. Both of these squads appear to be finished for the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
