2A-2 Region IV District 15 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Karnes City moved up to 539 from 576 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A-2 Region IV District 15. The Badgers climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Stockdale 27-0.
Karnes City extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Brahmas, 27-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Badgers.
Dilley's Will Urban and Sabby Torres have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Urban has thrown for 637 yards this season, while Torres has 13 catches for 210 yards. Stockdale's Matthew Valadez leads the league in rushing yards with 1061.
Two of the top units in 2A-2 Region IV District 15 will face off this week when the Wolves take on Karnes City. Dilley's offense has racked up 251 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Badgers have allowed only 63 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Karnes City takes on Jody Cantu's team. At the moment, the Badgers are in first, while the Wolves are in third.
Cotulla took down Bloomington 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
