Eagle's View hasn't had much luck against Ridgeview recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will head out to square off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Eagle's View will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Parsons Christian Academy on Friday. The Warriors came out on top against the Lions by a score of 13-8. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Frank Hanna made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Hanna was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on River Ahrens, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Logan Houston, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Eagle's View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview got themselves on the board against Orange Park on Friday, but Orange Park never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Raiders.
The result came thanks to Waylon Smith's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Chase Pitts was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
Ridgeview's record now sits at 2-0. As for Eagle's View, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Eagle's View might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Ridgeview in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
