Neville extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 2 this week by beating Airline, 48-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Franklin Parish and Alexandria played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Franklin Parish eventually emerging with a 26-20 victory.
Bastrop's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jaetarious Davis threw for 213 and three touchdowns and Jatavious Wilson had 94 yards receiving. On the ground Davis chipped in 187 yards. Antwon Green helped Bastrop's passing attack out by catching two balls for 55 yards.
Bastrop's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Davis has thrown for 1189 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Wilson has 34 catches for 655 yards. Davis also leads the league in rushing with 412 yards.
A big matchup in 4A District 2 this week will be when Neville takes on the Rams. Mickey Mccarty's team is currently in first, while Bastrop is in third.
There should be lots of points scored when the Tigers and Thomas Bachman's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Neville comes in having scored 156 this season, while the Rams have scored 188. The Tigers scored 48 points last week as they topped the Vikings.
Neville took down Airline 48-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. John Diarse threw for 84 yards and ran for 133 yards in the win.
