The Suwannee Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Crossroad Academy 47-33.
Leading Suwannee to victory were Kiera Jelks and Shadavia Jones. Jelks scored 11 points, while Jones scored 14 points. Zjamyah Wilson was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Suwannee's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Crossroad Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Suwannee and Baker County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Baker County is on a five-game streak of home wins, Suwannee a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Crossroad Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Godby at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
