Basketball Recap: Dadrian Wallace Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Childress

River Road hadn't done well against Childress recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The River Road Wildcats walked away with a 54-45 victory over the Childress Bobcats. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

River Road got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dadrian Wallace out in front who posted 13 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Wallace a new career-high in blocks (two). Malakai Miller was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 13 points.

River Road has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Childress, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-12.

River Road has already played their next contest (against Bushland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Childress will be playing in front of their home fans against Tulia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tulia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season.
