Highlands and Cooper squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Highlands had to settle for second. They were dealt a 61-23 defeat at the hands of the Cooper Jaguars. The Bluebirds' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Rio Litmer threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson Arnold was his top target, picking up 91 receiving yards. On the ground, Jack White rushed for 85 yards.

Cam O'Hara was his usual excellent self, throwing for 285 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt for Cooper. O'Hara is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. 120 of O'Hara's passing yards were hauled in by Isaiah Johnson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Cooper, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cooper, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 37-20 loss against Bowling Green on the 7th.
