The Whitehall Railroaders will head out on the road to challenge the Warrensburg Burgers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Hadley Luzerne scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, Whitehall still came out on top. Whitehall took their contest against Hadley Luzerne 69-61.
Meanwhile, Warrensburg stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fort Ann 84-51 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Warrensburg has posted since December 12, 2023.
Steve Schloss continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 36 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Cheney, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists.
Whitehall's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Warrensburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Whitehall didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Warrensburg in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 61-55 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Whitehall since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
