Baseball Recap: Maggie Walker Makes It Nine in a Row on the Road

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Maggie Walker and Thomas Jefferson meet (seven straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. Maggie Walker was the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over Thomas Jefferson. Maggie Walker hasn't had any issues with Thomas Jefferson recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Quinn Redwine made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cash Garrett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Lewis Dunn was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
