The Ransom Everglades Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Ransom Everglades will be strutting in after a victory while Archbishop Carroll will be coming in after a defeat.
Ransom Everglades not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past Goleman 3-0.
Ransom Everglades' got stronger as the match went on, holding Goleman to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-15.

Ransom Everglades found their leader in freshman Abigail Zichella, who had 14 kills, five digs, three aces, and one block. Zichella is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least seven every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nalah Picchetti, who had four digs and three aces.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Mater Lakes Academy.
While Archbishop Carroll was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 25-20.
Ransom Everglades' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Archbishop Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Ransom Everglades was able to grind out a solid victory over Archbishop Carroll when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
