The Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Episcopal School of Jacksonville's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Hilliard 10-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Red Flashes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Clem Nelson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.
On the hitting side, Jack Ottesen was incredible, going a perfect3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, he also racked up three hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Lawson Perry was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Episcopal School of Jacksonville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hilliard only posted an OBP of .211.
Meanwhile, St. Augustine was able to grind out a solid win over Palatka on Thursday, taking the game 9-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.
Jordan Petty made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Petty was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Alex McKnight and Maddux Dowler did most of the damage at the plate: McKnight scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Dowler got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Xavier Ahr, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Episcopal School of Jacksonville pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for St. Augustine, their record is now 2-0.
